¡¡Nieve!! / Snow!!

Sé que hace mucho que no actualizo pero ya estoy aquí de nuevo para contarles algo muy emocionante (por lo menos para mí) y es que tras un año y cinco meses en Inglaterra ¡¡por fin ha nevado!!.

Las siguientes fotos son del primer día que nevó, que fue el sábado 17 de Enero. Aunque no cuajó yo era la niña más feliz del mundo en ese momento, ya que en Canarias sólo nieva en el centro de la isla donde es más montañoso y en muy pocas ocasiones. Así que las veces que he visto nevar son muy pocas (tuve la suerte de ver nevar en Granada cuando estuve de séneca).

I know that it's a long time since I haven't written anything but here I am again and I'll tell you something really exciting (for me it's really exciting)... After one year and 5 months living in England, it has snowed!!

The next pictures are from the first day when it snowed, on Saturday 17th January. Although it wasn't sticking, I was the happiest person in the world, because in the Canary Islands it's not normal the snow. It snows only in the centre of the island and not very often. So there is a few times that I have seen snowing (as I was studying in Granada with a scholarship).

 

Lo que yo no sabía era que el jueves 29 de Enero al mediodía nevaría mucho más, aquí les dejo algunas de las fotos y un vídeo que saqué de este día. No llegó a cuajar del todo, pero sí que pude disfrutar de un mini manto blanco.

 

What I didn't know was that on Thursday 29th January, in the afternoon, it would snow a lot! Here you have some pictures and a video. The snow wasn't sticking but I could see a white thin cover.

 

Pero lo mejor de todo fue cuando esa misma noche, a las 5 de la mañana, Mikel se había desvelado y miró por la ventana y me despertó para que mirara por la ventana y estaba ¡¡¡todo nevado!!!. Es la primera vez en mi vida que veo algo así y ¡me encantó!. De hecho estuve sacando par de fotos desde la ventana hasta que me cansé y bajé para pisar y tocar la nieve jajajaja. 

La nieve ha durado todo el día hasta la noche (quizás se mantenga hasta mañana), pero en otros sitios cercanos no duró mucho porque cuando tuve que ir a recoger a mi HK al colegio vi que ya no había nieve por allí.

 

But the best thing was when that same night, at 5 am, Mikel was awake and looked out the window and he woke me up so I could see that everything was covered with snow!!! It's the first time that I see something like that and I loved it! Actually I was taking pictures from the window and I decided to go downstairs and touch the snow hahaha. 

The snow has been covered everything all the day (maybe tomorrow it will be still there), but in another places near here it didn't last too much, because when I went to pick up my HK from school there wasn't snow.
