Último día / Last day

I know that I already said goodbye to you, but I want to inform you that today is our last day as an au pair couple. So this is the final goodbye to the blog but I will keep it so people can read the posts.

As a goodbye here you have a video that we gave to our Host Family.

¡¡Nieve!! / Snow!!

I know that it's a long time since I haven't written anything but here I am again and I'll tell you something really exciting (for me it's really exciting)... After one year and 5 months living in England, it has snowed!!

The next pictures are from the first day when it snowed, on Saturday 17th January. Although it wasn't sticking, I was the happiest person in the world, because in the Canary Islands it's not normal the snow. It snows only in the centre of the island and not very often. So there is a few times that I have seen snowing (as I was studying in Granada with a scholarship).

What I didn't know was that on Thursday 29th January, in the afternoon, it would snow a lot! Here you have some pictures and a video. The snow wasn't sticking but I could see a white thin cover.

But the best thing was when that same night, at 5 am, Mikel was awake and looked out the window and he woke me up so I could see that everything was covered with snow!!! It's the first time that I see something like that and I loved it! Actually I was taking pictures from the window and I decided to go downstairs and touch the snow hahaha.

The snow has been covered everything all the day (maybe tomorrow it will be still there), but in another places near here it didn't last too much, because when I went to pick up my HK from school there wasn't snow.

¡Ha sido una experiencia increíble!

It has been such an amazing experience!

¡No quiero volver! / I don't want to come back!

I'm sorry because I haven't updated anything, but here I am again and I have some posts in mind which I'll post very soon ;).

Today I'm here to talk you about that invisible force which appears when you come go to your home and you don't want to come back any more to England. That is bigger when you spend lots of days there; this time we were 16 days in Spain (Mikel was in Gipuzkoa and I was in Gran Canaria). It was different at Easter and in summer because we spent less time in each own city.

The last three days were horrible for me, especially one of them because I had to go to another part because I needed to cry due to the fact that I didn't want to come back to England. I was having such a great time that I didn't want to. I have to say that the last Christmas, it happened the same, but I thought it was because it was the first time that I came back to Spain, but now I know that it wasn't for that xD.

But now in England, everything is different. I have remembered why I'm here and why I love to live in this country... Furthermore it has helped me to arrive and see my babies (the doggies :P), speak to my HM for hours, when my HK arrived from school and told me that she missed me so much and everything was a mess without me, etc.

So all the thoughts about "I don't want to come back to England" are buried in the botton of my heart, and I know that it'll come back again, but I want to make clear to all my people that I am happy here as well =).

Thanks for all the amazing moments that we spent together in Christmas =) I hope see u soon!

Here you have a video with the best moments in holidays.

Helada en Noviembre / Frost in November

If you usually read this blog you already know that I love the cold days, with rain and if it's a frozen day it's much better! (I hope this winter it snows!). Today it has been one of these days that I love because everything was frozen =) Here you have some pictures:

¿Y tú qué prefieres, días fríos o cálidos?

And what do you prefer, warn or cold days?

Vuelta al cole 2ª parte / Back to school 2nd part

On 8th September we started the English lessons in Colchester Institute, which is associated with the Braintree College, where we assisted to the English lessons to prepare the FCE last year.

Colchester is about 45 minutes away from High Roding, where we live, but in the mornings the trip lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive because there is heavy traffic in the entry of this city. But the worst thing is that the car park in Colchester Institute is always nearly full; every time we have gone we have had to park in the last spaces and there are courses without starting... Furthermore the price is expensive, 2.20 pounds for all the day, and in Braintree we paid 0.70 pounds; but if you have to park outside you will have to pay 4-5 pounds at least. So we hope to be lucky, because we can't leave home before due to the fact that we have to work between 7-8 am.

Every day the number of people has changed because some of them couldn't go to the lessons or because there are new people, but we are 13 people in total, but there is only one boy more (poor Mikel, because he is always with girls, or maybe I should say... lucky Mikel hahaha). There is only one spanish girl and there are also people from Moldova, Indonesia, Russia, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil and Poland.

I like so much the lessons' level because since the beginning we have started thinking in the exam, in these three weeks we have done two writings and more exercises and it seems to us that the lessons pass quickly, so we are really happy with these lessons. Furhermore the teacher is really nice, she emphasizes the important things and she gives to us lots of homework, so it's really good because we can learn more quickly (although it's hard to have so many homework haha).
