Vuelta al cole 2ª parte / Back to school 2nd part

El día 8 de Septiembre empezamos las clases de inglés en "Colchester Institute", el cual está asociado con "Braintree College", el lugar donde asistimos a clases el año pasado para prepararnos el FCE.

Colchester se encuentra a unos 45 minutos de High Roding, donde vivimos, pero por las mañanas tardamos 1 hora y cuarto en llegar porque suele haber mucho tráfico en la entrada de esta ciudad. Pero lo peor no es eso, sino que el parking de "Colchester Institute" se llena enseguida; cada vez que hemos llegado sólo quedan libres los últimos aparcamientos y eso que todavía hay cursos que no han empezado... Además el precio es elevado, 2.20 libras todo el día, mientras que en Braintree pagábamos 0.70 libras; pero si te quedas sin parking y tienes que aparcar afuera, tendrás que desembolsar unas 4-5 libras como mínimo. Así que esperamos seguir teniendo la misma suerte que hasta ahora, ya que antes no podemos salir porque trabajamos de 7 a 8 de la mañana.

 

On 8th September we started the English lessons in Colchester Institute, which is associated with the Braintree College, where we assisted to the English lessons to prepare the FCE last year.

Colchester is about 45 minutes away from High Roding, where we live, but in the mornings the trip lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive because there is heavy traffic in the entry of this city. But the worst thing is that the car park in Colchester Institute is always nearly full; every time we have gone we have had to park in the last spaces and there are courses without starting... Furthermore the price is expensive, 2.20 pounds for all the day, and in Braintree we paid 0.70 pounds; but if you have to park outside you will have to pay 4-5 pounds at least. So we hope to be lucky, because we can't leave home before due to the fact that we have to work between 7-8 am.

 

Cada día el número de personas ha variado ya que algunos no han podido venir y otros días han aparecido algunos nuevos, pero creo que en total somos 13 personas, de las cuales sólo hay un chico más aparte de Mikel (pobrecito siempre rodeado de chicas o, más bien, que afortunado :P). Españoles sólo hay una chica más y luego también hay gente de Moldavia, Indonesia, Rusia, Italia, República Checa, Alemania, Brasil y Polonia,

Me gusta mucho el nivel de estas clases porque desde el principio hemos empezado enfocando todo hacia el examen, en estas tres semanas ya hemos hecho dos writings y muchísimos ejercicios más, y las clases se nos han pasado rapidísimo, así que por ahora estamos muy contentos. Además la profesora es muy simpática, enfatiza las cosas importantes y manda muchos deberes así que es un punto a favor porque así aprenderemos más rápido (aunque sea un coñazo tener que hacerlos jaja).

 

Every day the number of people has changed because some of them couldn't go to the lessons or because there are new people, but we are 13 people in total, but there is only one boy more (poor Mikel, because he is always with girls, or maybe I should say... lucky Mikel hahaha). There is only one spanish girl and there are also people from Moldova, Indonesia, Russia, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil and Poland.

I like so much the lessons' level because since the beginning we have started thinking in the exam, in these three weeks we have done two writings and more exercises and it seems to us that the lessons pass quickly, so we are really happy with these lessons. Furhermore the teacher is really nice, she emphasizes the important things and she gives to us lots of homework, so it's really good because we can learn more quickly (although it's hard to have so many homework haha).
