Como se avecinan muchos fines de semana de babysitting decidimos ir a Londres antes de que nos dieran ganas de volver y no pudiéramos ir. Esta vez decidimos ir a Greenwich (los ingleses lo pronuncian como "grenich" y no "grenwich" xD) porque queríamos coger el teleférico, y es que fue la semana pasada cuando me enteré de que había uno :O.
La primera parada fue en el centro de Greenwich y es que este barrio es muy grande (en el norte es donde se encuentra el teleférico y la barrera de protección del Támesis). Primero fuimos al Mercado de Greenwich, donde te puedes encontrar muchos puestos de comida (con una pinta increíble) y varios puestos de cosas artesanales.
As we are going to have lots of babysitting, we decided to go to London before wanting to go, because later we won't be able to go. This time we went to Greenwich (the English people say it like "grenich", not "grenwich") because we wanted to take the cableway, and it was the last week when I knew that there is a cableway in London :O.
The first stop was in the centre of Greenwich, this suburb is really big (in the North you have the cableway and the Thames barrier). First of all, we went to the Greenwich Market, where there are lots of food stands (it looked delicious!) and some handcraft stands.

Después fuimos al "Old Royal Naval College", uno de los monumentos más importantes de Londres, el cual es gratuito. Dentro de este recinto hay varios edificios: uno de ellos es impresionante, se llama "la sala pintada" y es porque tiene grandes murales pintados en la pared y el techo del edificio; aquí les dejo algunas fotos pero no llegan a reflejar la belleza de este sitio. Y otro de los edificios que visitamos fue una capilla donde había también un cuadro gigante y toda la decoración de la pared estaba en relieve.
Later we went to the "Old Royal Naval College", which is one of the most important monuments in London and it's free. There are many buildings: one of them it was really amazing, in the "painted hall" there are some giant paintings in the walls and in the ceiling; here you have some pictures, but you can't appreciate this wonderful place by the pictures. Another building is the chapel where there is a big painting and all the decorations are in 3D.

Después de esto seguimos por la ruta del parque de Greenwich y llegamos a uno de los miradores más famosos de Londres, desde donde se ve Canary Wharf a lo lejos con todos sus rascacielos. Y justo al lado se encontraba el "Royal Observatory de Greenwich", donde se encuentra el famoso meridiano cero, de hecho hay una línea en el suelo que lo marca, pero para poder entrar debes pagar 7,70 libras, así que nos conformamos con ver la línea desde fuera xD
After that, we went to the Greenwich park and we were in one of the most famous viewpoints in London, where you can see Canary Wharf with all of its skyscrapers. Near to this place it's the "Royal Observatory, Greenwich", where the Greenwich meridian is, there is one line on the floor, but you must pay 7,70 pounds, so we prefered to see it from outside xD

Luego seguimos por una ruta de miradores, de los cuales sólo encontramos uno, y al haber sido un día con mucha niebla, desde este último apenas se veía nada, así que estuvimos caminando por en medio de las casas de Greenwich hasta llegar al metro, y de allí fuimos hacia Canary Wharf.
Canary Wharf es el centro financiero de Londres y es muy conocido por la gran cantidad de rascacielos que hay. Aquí tienen algunas de las fotos.
Later we were in the viewpoint's route, but we only found one more. As the day was foggy, we coudn't see anything more, so we went through the suburb of Greenwich until arriving to the tube, and there we went to Canary Wharf.
Canary Wharf is the financial centre of London and there are lots of skyscrapers. Here you have some pictures.

Y para terminar nos dirigimos hacia la terminal del teleférico, la cual se encuentra cerca del O2 Arena, que es un recinto muy famoso donde se suelen realizar conciertos, eventos, etc. Por fuera es horrible y puedes entrar dentro, pero sólo a la parte más externa del círculo y es que es como un centro comercial con muchos restaurantes y tiendas rodeando la sala principal, Una cosa que nos llamó mucho la atención fue que vimos a gente escalando el O2, y es que puedes hacerlo si pagas una cierta cantidad (la cual es a partir de 26 libras dependiendo del momento del día que lo hagas).
Finally we went to the cableway, which is near to the O2 Arena. The O2 Arena is a famous enclosure where there are some concerts, events, etc. The shape is horrible and you can go inside, but only to the external part because it's a shopping centre with lots of shops. One thing that was really shocking for us was to see how people was climbing the O2 Arena (you can do it from 26 pounds, it depends of the moment of the day).

Y ya por último, nos montamos en el teleférico, su nombre es "Emirates Air Line" y va desde el norte de Greenwich hacia el muelle del Royal Victoria. El viaje cuesta 3,30 libras (puedes pagar con la Oyster) y dura unos 10-15 minutos. Desde arriba puedes ver la famosa barrera del Támesis, el aeropuerto "City airport", el O2 y unas magníficas vistas de Londres en general.

Ohhhhhhhhhh Canary Wharf, por ahí estuve !!! :) aunque me aburrí, la verdad, no le vi mucho, porque no es más que lo que es.... cristaleras por tos laos y ya está.

Nosotros sólo dimos una vuelta y ya, yo creo que Canary Wharf lo ves en 15 minutos xD

Interesante esta visita, cierto que el O2 Arena es demasiado feo por fuera jaja. Y ya iré por Canary Wharf a conocer esa parte de Londres :)
